Who we are

Daytakt is a store operated by Atlantic E-Commerce ("Daytakt", "we", "us", "our"). We run this website and store and the services around it (the "Services"). The store is hosted and operated on Shopify.

If this policy conflicts with our Terms of Service, this policy governs the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. By using the Services you acknowledge this policy.

What we collect

  • Identifiers and contact data: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address.
  • Commercial data: items viewed, cart contents, orders, returns and exchanges.
  • Payment data: a payment token and the transaction total. Payment is processed by our processors — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Account data: login details and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referrer, event logs.
  • Communications: messages you send to support, product reviews, survey answers.
  • Inferences drawn from the above, used to make the shop more relevant to you.
  • Session recordings and heatmaps: we use Microsoft Clarity to record how pages are used — pointer movement, scrolling, clicks and page transitions — so we can see where the site is confusing. Recordings are pseudonymised and we do not use them to identify you. Clarity is subject to your analytics choice: if you opt out, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no recording is made.

It reaches us directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from our service providers — payments, shipping, analytics, marketing — and, where permitted, from advertising and anti-fraud partners.

What we use it for

  • Running the shop: taking payment, fulfilling and shipping orders, handling returns, supporting your account, answering your emails.
  • Improving it: remembering preferences, recommending objects, measuring what works.
  • Marketing, where you have allowed it: email and SMS, and advertising on and off this site. You can opt out at any time — see Your rights and choices.
  • Security: detecting and preventing fraud and abuse.
  • Legal obligations: tax and accounting records, lawful requests, enforcing our terms.

We do not use sensitive categories of information — precise location, health, and the like — for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers: Shopify (hosting and checkout), payment processors, anti-fraud services, cloud storage, analytics, customer support tools, and the logistics partners and carriers who deliver your order.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, where permitted, to measure performance and show relevant advertising.
  • Legal and safety: to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect people.
  • A business transfer: in connection with a merger, financing or acquisition.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat certain advertising and analytics data flows as a "sale" or a "share"; for those purposes we offer an opt-out, below.

Shopify

This store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes some information about your interactions with it and with other Shopify stores in order to run and improve its own services. For those activities Shopify is a separate controller and handles the related privacy rights itself. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and SDKs for the things that make a shop work — your cart, the checkout — and for analytics and, where permitted, advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser and through Your Privacy Choices. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where the law requires it.

Email and SMS

With your consent, where consent is required, we send occasional email and SMS. Unsubscribe from email using the link in any message. For SMS, reply STOP to stop and HELP for help; message and data rates may apply and frequency varies. Consent is never a condition of buying anything.

How long we keep it

  • Orders, invoices and tax records: up to 7 years, or longer where the law requires.
  • Support conversations: 3 years after the last message.
  • Marketing profiles: until you opt out, or after 2 years of inactivity.
  • Security and fraud logs: up to 2 years.

We may keep information longer where we must, to comply with law, resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Your rights and choices

What you can ask for depends on where you live. It may include:

  • Access: what we collected, and what we did with it.
  • Correction of anything inaccurate.
  • Deletion of your personal information, with the exceptions the law allows.
  • Portability: a copy in a usable format.
  • Opting out of "sale", "share" or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by state law.
  • Limiting the use of sensitive personal information — which we do not use for advertising in any case.

To exercise any of these, use Your Privacy Choices or email legal@daytakt.com. We may need to verify your identity. You can authorise an agent to act for you; we may ask for proof. We will never treat you differently for exercising a right.

Where it applies, we treat a valid GPC signal as an opt-out for that browser or device, and for your account where we can match it.

US state disclosures

  • Categories collected: identifiers and contact data; commercial data; internet and usage data; coarse location at IP level; inferences.
  • Business purposes: as set out above — running the shop, security, debugging, analytics, marketing, compliance.
  • Disclosed for business purposes to: the service providers listed above, anti-fraud services and logistics partners.
  • Sale or share: we do not sell for money, but advertising and analytics flows may be deemed a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioural advertising. Opt out through Your Privacy Choices or GPC.
  • Sensitive personal information: not used or disclosed to infer characteristics, and not used for targeted advertising.

Children

The Services are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone aged 13 to 16 without affirmative authorisation. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We may transfer, store and process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK we use appropriate safeguards — EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK IDTA or Addendum — unless an adequacy decision applies.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and take any further step the law requires.
