I’m not sure how accurate it is, as far as exact measurement, but it does seem to reflect lower CO2 in the air after opening windows and increasing ventilation, as well as different levels when moving from room to room. The monitor gives you a reading as well as a happy, neutral, or sad face and a green, yellow, or red indicator. Unfortunately, there is no app with this, which would increase its usefulness. As it is though, it does give you a good idea if rooms are in need of ventilation.
This is a decent monitor. It works well for the purpose and is easy to set up and use. Overall, I give it four stars for ease of use and being fairly accurate.
This CO2 monitor works quite well, as an indirect indicator of the air being refreshed vs. trapped and just recirculating in a space. We have seen where a hospital reading is low too (in the 400 range) telling us the A/C system there was moving indoor air out and fresh air in at a good rate, which gives us a little peace of mind. Very useful - providing situational awareness.
This unit is superb, cause you can see it without getting close to it! A bedroom with poor ventilation, 2 people a dog, etc. can hit 1200 ppm in a single night. Unit works well, well calibrated. Not for everyone, but if you care about air quality, this is superb.
This is by far the easiest to read of any of the monitors I found, and super easy to transport. I'm very happy with it. This seems to be a very good way to get a clue of how good the general air exchange is in those indoor spaces, and how well ventilated they are.
We are using this in a church to gauge how our ventilation system is working. There is a lag of a couple of minutes so you do not get instant results but this isn’t a bother at all. But it does show how much the CO2 increases when people start entering the room. As you turn on the ventilation you can watch the number go down.
We put this meter in our house and we’re amazed how much CO2 is in our house. Highly recommend!
